I want to lose weight by july 4. It will be my first anniversery. I want to look good. How do I do it? I need at home excersise workouts. What really works. How do I get six pack abs before this time and tone my whole body up.
six pack abs is mostly a function of leaness and genetics. When I was 20 years old. I was 5-6, 135, lbs. I did hundreds of crunches, situps, pushups, various martial arts and other exrcises and I ran about a mile and a half every single day. We’re talking 400 situps at least along with all that other stuff, every day. My friend was 5-11, 140lbs and he had an absolutely perfect looking six pack and fairly defined muscles, but he did zero exercise, nothing at all. He saw my intense routine, he got inspired and wanted to try to work out with me. He couldn’t do 25 situps. I was jealous and pissed. I was doing all this stuff every day, I had nothing, not even a two pack and here’s his weak abs looking like magazine abs. Ok, so he was super skinny at 5-11, 140lbs, but I wasn’t exactly a fatty at 5-6, 135lbs. So, check this out. My son is now 16 years old, 135lbs at 6.0ft tall. He’s super skinny too, except he works out constantly as a boxer. He runs 5 miles, four to five times a week and does tons and tons of ab work, pull ups, push ups, medicne ball work and tons of speed squats, throws hundreds and hundreds of punches. What does he have to show? Barely a two pack, even with 6 percent body fat. My conclusion? You can train your abs into oblivion and you can be super lean and you still might never have a six pack or you could have weak @ss abs and leaness and good genes and you might have perfect abs
I asked this question before, but i’m asking again because i want to hear different opinions. I’m really fat.. I really want six packs though. First time in my life. Please tell me the most effective exercises and how long it will take for the six pack to show. I am begging for abs. I’m a pretty fat guy so please tell me what to do step by step. I’m 14 btw. I want to burn all the fat and get a nice looking six pack. Thanks.
You didnt say how much exactly you way, but i will take your word when you say you are really fat.
Run or walk, and do crunches. I recomend 200 crunches a day, but so sets of 50. Being pretty fat myself, they hurt at first but they honestly get better and easier
Good Luck, Keep me updated, you can message me if you would like
I am 13 years of age and i want to know if I go on an elleptical machine for 3 hours a day, everyday, burning 1,500 calories will it give me abs if I eat healthy with diet, water, no junk or pop and vegies and stuff. I also include an 8 minute abs workout video in there everyday. How long to see six pack abs? I weigh 108 pounds and am 5 foot 1
I highly suggest you stop doing what you are doing. It will cause you to lose weight, yes, but your body will start to look so limp and weak. You will not get a six pack by doing that. You are correct in thinking you need to lose weight to help your abdominal muscles show, yes, but cardio (what you are doing) is one of the worst ways to go about it.
First, realize that our bodies are designed to perform physical activity in bursts of exertion followed by recovery, or stop-and-go movement instead of steady state movement. Recent research is suggesting that physical variability is one of the most important aspects to consider in your training. This tendency can be seen throughout nature as all animals demonstrate stop-and-go motion instead of steady state motion. In fact, humans are the only creatures in nature that attempt to do “endurance” type physical activities.
Most competitive sports (with the exception of endurance running or cycling) are also based on stop-and-go movement or short bursts of exertion followed by recovery. To examine an example of the different effects of endurance or steady state training versus stop-and-go training, consider the physiques of marathoners versus sprinters. Most sprinters carry a physique that is very lean, muscular, and powerful looking, while the typical dedicated marathoner is more often emaciated and sickly looking. Now which would you rather resemble?
Another factor to keep in mind regarding the benefits of physical variability is the internal effect of various forms of exercise on our body. Scientists have known that excessive steady state endurance exercise (different for everyone, but sometimes defined as greater than 60 minutes per session, most days of the week) increases free radical production in the body, can degenerate joints, reduces immune function, causes muscle wasting, and can cause a pro-inflammatory response in the body that can potentially lead to chronic diseases.
On the other hand, highly variable intensity training has been linked to increased anti-oxidant production in the body and an anti-inflammatory response, a more efficient nitric oxide response (which can encourage a healthy cardiovascular system), and an increased metabolic rate response (which can assist with weight loss). Furthermore, steady state endurance training only trains the heart at one specific heart rate range and doesn’t’t train it to respond to various every day stresses. On the other hand, highly variable intensity trains the heart in a much wider heart rate range and teaches it to respond to and recover from a variety of demands making it less likely to fail when you need it.
The important aspect of variable intensity training that makes it superior over steady state cardio is the recovery period in between bursts of exertion. That recovery period is crucially important for the body to elicit a healthy response to an exercise stimulus. Another benefit of variable intensity training is that it is much more interesting and has lower drop-out rates than long boring steady state cardio programs.
Basically, STOP doing 3 hours a day of cardio! It is dangerous, and burning that many calories a day will in fact LOWER your metabolism (unless you eat A LOT more). You need to start focusing on diet and weight training more. Keep to your ab training work out, but focus most of your energy on full body weight training and lowering your body fat through healthy dieting.
One of the best full body weight lifting exercises you can do are dead-lifts and squats.
There is a lot that can be said in this area, but I am talking from experience. I suggest you take a long careful read of http://sixpacksecretsrevealed.blogspot.com and read the information there and take their advice. It is extremely helpful and informative and will reveal a few things you probably never knew.
Is there an exercises that can strengthen abs and burn lots of body fat to quickly reveal those six pack abs? I am looking for an exercise or machine that can strengthen your rectos abdominal and burn fat. Is there one? If there is how many calories an hour does it burn and how long does it take to see results? Thanks!
im 13, 110 pounds with some fat on my stomache that im looking to get rid of. i started yesterday doing 6 sets of 50 sit ups with a five-ten minute break between each set. how long will it take for me to get six pack abs?
2 weeks max and 1 and a half min but you have to keep at that rate i wish i could get abs but im 2 fat than to get my ass out of the couch and do some exercises and im 15 like wtf im not fat im in my weight limit a bit bello but at least i seem anerestic lol uv inspired me to do some exercizes
I’m in pretty good shape. But my thing is abs. I can do at least 200 sit-ups a day and still no six pack. What do I have to do o get them? I’ve heard it involves what you eat has something to do with it. So help me please.
Situps and crunches will get you the six pack. But, remember, if there is a layer of fat over it, no one will be able to see it. So, make sure you do the cardio and other exercises to remove any excess body fat.
I’m 17, 5’2” and 132 pounds. I’m a very hard worker and actually quite strong. If I were to work out 6 days a week for an hour and a half (30-40 minutes of cardio & an hour of abs and either arms or legs weight lifting) how long would it take me to get completely toned and have six pack abs?
You sound very lean to me. But accomplishing those six pack abs will all depend on you. How strict and commited you are. But if you do an hour of abs work out, 6 days a week. You should begin to see results 2-5 weeks in. And around 5-9 weeks to see fully formed six pack abs.
I know this wasn’t apart of the question, but in my opinion, I think you should give yourself at least 2-3 days a week to rest the muscles. Just enough rest gives them more time to heal. Only one day isn’t enough. But that’s up to you.
Just be sure to drink plenty of water and maintain a healthy diet.
